The Lori Piestewa Games slow‑pitch softball tournament is a highlight of the annual Lori Piestewa National Native American Games, held each July at the Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa. Founded in 2003 to honor U.S. Army Specialist Lori Piestewa—the first Native American woman killed in action—the event brings together Indigenous athletes across all age groups and tribal communities.
