AFA Turkey Tussle Tournament - National Qualifier Lady Knuckleheads RR Eastman 14U
Messages
Good evening,
Our grounds crew just went out to the fields to work on them again and unfortunately the fields have taken on too much water. We will need to cancel tomorrow. We did our very best to try and get the fields ready for your teams to play.
AFA tournament director Glen Messick will be in touch with each of your teams this week.
Thank you for playing AFA!
Sincerely,
AFA staff
Good evening,
We have done our best to try and get everyone back on track and to give us the best shot to play tomorrow.
Our staff is working hard and will be using quick dry to try and get the fields playable. The Henderson city crew and our Boulder City Crew will begin work early in the morning.
Here is the plan for each division.
10u/12u will play the bracket as planned. Please see the game times on the AFA app.
14u/HS are bigger divisions and we will play 1:15 no new games tomorrow to try and allow many teams to get their games in.
HS bracket will see the top 2 teams advance into a 4 team bracket tournament. 3rd place in each pool will play a game to determine 5th place. 4th place in each pool will play a game to determine 7th place.
We will continue to monitor the rain over night and if there are any changes, we will announce on the app. Please continue to check in the morning. There will be a site director at each park for any further questions.
Thank you and have a great evening!
AFA Staff
Good afternoon,
All games from the 3:20 round and on are postponed tonigh because of weather.
Our staff will continue to monitor the fields and a new schedule for 14U and the high school divisions will be announced after 9:00 pm and before 10:00 pm.
The players and everyone's safety is our number one concern. Please remain patient and allow us to check fields and work with the cities plus our staff to come up with the best plan. Thank you all.
Good evening,
Currently the fields are playable and dry. We anticipate some light rain over night, and should be able to start our games in the morning on time, as long as nothing changes with the current forecast.
We anticipate light rain at times throughout Saturday. Because of this, we are gonna move our Saturday games to 1:20 no new format. This allows to try and stay on schedule in the event of any weather delays.
Teams should be prepared to play up to 20 mins before scheduled times, in the event of mercies or if we have the chance to get as much play in while dry as possible.
Each site has AFA representation with site directors. Any questions during the day, should be directed to the site staff at your park.
We do know how much everyone wants to get these games in. The players safety is our number one concern. Our grounds crew and the city will do our best. Thank you and good evening.
Good morning,
As many of you already know there is some rain in the forecast. Traditionally fields in Henderson and Boulder City have held up well,, as they do not receive much rain. Right now plans our to proceed as planned. The forecast is consistently changing and we will continue to monitor it.
Our team is in the same boat as many of you, we have our rooms for staff and umpires, and are moving forward. If there are any changes, updates, or anything else, we will notify teams through this ap. Thank you.
