Good Morning Coach-

Payments are now due for the AFA AZ Winter Cactus League at Cactus Yards in Gilbert, AZ.
10U-12U-14U

Monday nights at 6pm and/or 7:45pm (1:30 no new inning for all ages; all games)
Start date: Monday, January 8th
End date: Monday, March 4th

Please send a deposit of $200.00 by 12/22 at midnight or payment in full of $790.00.

Good afternoon, Coaches!

It has been a huge struggle to find fields for makeup games, and we cannot get anything at Cactus Yards until April, so we have to move on with the dates available at Kleinman Park in Mesa, AZ.

We have added make up games next Tuesday, March 5th at 6pm and 7:45pm and next Wednesday, March 6th at 6pm and 7:45pm. Please note, the exposure site still lists Cactus Yards as the venue for these two make up dates. We will attempt to get that updated but please know games on these two dates will be played at Kleinman Park, 710 S Ext Rd, Mesa, AZ 85210.

Please let us know if you cannot make your scheduled makeup game.

Hello Coaches!

Our AFA staff is reaching out to other local fields in the East Valley to secure space for our rain out make up games from a couple of weeks ago.

These games will be made up, they just will not be at Cactus Yards, unfortunately. They do not have any other week night dates available for us to run on multiple fields before the kiddos go on Spring Break.

As soon as I lock down dates and fields, I will get those posted ASAP. Most likely they will be the last couple weeks of February or first week of March on the back end of our schedule.

Just got off the phone with the city, and we have made a collective decision to cancel tonight's games and reschedule for a later date in order to keep the kids safe, dry, and out of the cold.

I hope this message reaches everyone in time to at the very least turn around and have a nice evening inside! I will reach out with our rescheduled dates/times.

Good Afternoon-

Final payments are due, if you haven't already sent payment in full for league play please do so immediately. We will need payments prior to you first game along with hard copy of your signed rosters and proof of current team insurance upon check in with site director.

Reminders:
The park will open at 5pm for warm ups
(please stay off of the infield before your games; 7:45pm game warmups can be done behind HR fences in the grass)

Team listed first on the schedule will occupy the 1B dugout, unless already playing the game before (team to come on to play will take open dugout)

Coin toss for home-away at home plate meeting with umpire

Games will have homerun fences, 1 AFA umpire, and be 1:30 no new inning time limits

No run rules for league nights so please use your best judgement and sportsmanship if/when teams are struggling

Free substitutions and you can bat your entire lineup

Games will be played primarily on Monday nights (with two Wednesdays in early January 1/10 and 1/17 to make up for us not being able to play on MLK and President's Day).

Please let us know in ample time if you cannot make a game so that we can find a team to fill in and play in your place. Forfeits will take a losing score of 0-7.

The team with the best record at the end of the league will be able to create new uniform or practice tops at the completion of the season.

We accommodated as many requests as possible, keeping the 10u and 12u ages to as many early time slots as possible, but double headers and keeping ages on the same fields to avoid field preps and mound changes are very important to the weeknight staff of Cactus Yards.

Please keep in mind that we will need your rosters and proof of team insurance turned in to the table before your first game.
